LWCF/Lands Package

• Was close to moving last night, but Mike Lee and Rand Paul kept it from moving forward. Murkowski was reassured by Senate leaders that this would be at the top of the agenda next congress.

• Alaska Native Vets section is better than the bill that was passed out committee, but still gives away a lot of public lands

Dirty Budget

• Senate passed a clean CR last night that will fund the government until February 8. It’s being seen as a win for Pelosi and the new congress
• The bill is still expected to pass, though the Freedom Caucus and right wing media are putting pressure on Trump to veto it
