Hello everyone,
A quick update and friendly reminder to please consider sending an action alert to your members to respond to the administration’s reckless push to hold
an oil and gas lease sale in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as soon as this year.
On December 20th, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) released a
draft environmental impact statement
in preparation for holding an oil and gas lease sale on the ecologically sensitive Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in 2019.
The comment period was extended to March 13th!
It is imperative that we demonstrate opposition to any oil and gas activities on the Coastal Plain by submitting
at least ONE MILLION COMMENTS during the public comment period.
Here is a toolkit for
directions on how to submit and track your comments, background resources, talking points, and sample alerts.
