This afternoon, at 1pm ET, leaders of the BlueGreen Alliance will be releasing a platform on climate change and the economy at the headquarters of the United Steelworkers Union (USW) in Pittsburgh, PA. This is the culmination of years of
work centered on understanding the interests of working people as it relates to jobs and climate change.
The historic platform—entitled “Solidarity for Climate Action”—puts workers at the forefront of the ongoing discussion about how America will tackle climate change
and fight income inequality. This will be the first such comprehensive plan to address climate change put forward by America’s largest unions.
