Both the House and Senate are back this week, and once again busy. Environmental votes are quite possible as part of House NDAA consideration, and Peter Wright is up for a confirmation vote in the Senate.

The House convenes at 2 PM on Tuesday, with the usual
collection of suspension bills.

The rest of the week will be spent on the House NDAA bill.

- On Wednesday
at 10 AM the National Parks subcommittee of Natural Resources is holding a legislative hearing on several public lands bills.
- On Wednesday
at 1:40 PM, the Water subcommittee of Transportation & Infrastructure is holding a hearing on "Water Resources Development Acts: Status of Implementation and Assessing Future
Needs."
- On Wednesday
at 2 PM the Investor Protection subcommittee of Financial Services is holding a hearing on "Building a Sustainable and Competitive Economy: An Examination of Proposals to
Improve Environmental, Social, and Governance Disclosures."
- On Thursday
at 10 AM the Science committee is holding a hearing on "Earth's Thermometers: Glacial and Ice Sheet Melt in a Changing Climate."
- On Thursday
at 10 AM the Energy subcommittee of Natural Resources is holding a hearing on "The Future of the Federal Coal Program."
- On Thursday
at 10:15 AM the Workforce Protections subcommittee of Education & Labor is holding a hearing on "From the Fields to the Factories: Preventing Workplace Injury and Death
from Excessive Heat."
- Senate Floor Activity
- The Senate convenes at 3 PM on Monday, with a 5:30 PM cloture vote on another judicial nominee (Daniel A. Bress for the 9th Circuit).
- Sen. McConnell has filed cloture on 6 nominees so far for this week, including Peter Wright for Solid Waste at EPA.
- Additional nominees are possible this week, but things remain unclear.

at 10 AM the Energy subcommittee of Energy & Natural Resources is holding a legislative hearing on numerous energy bills, including several on energy storage.
- On Wednesday
at 10 AM the Environment & Public Works committee is holding a hearing on "Investing in America's Transportation Infrastructure: The Need for a Multi-Year Reauthorization
Bill."
- On Thursday
at 10 AM the Energy & Natural Resources committee is holding a hearing on "the Important Role of U.S. LNG in Evolving Global Markets."
