“It’s clear that Daniel Jorjani may have lied to Congress about his role in reviewing and withholding public information requests. Political interference with the Freedom of Information Act is bad enough. Lying about it to Congress, under oath, is perjury. The DOJ should investigate, his nomination should be withdrawn, he should be removed as DOI’s chief FOIA officer, and every member of the Senate should be outraged. We commend Senator Wyden for placing a hold on this nomination and demanding yet another investigation.”
