This morning, the Senate joined the House by passing (67-28 vote) a two-year budget deal to raise the caps on federal spending limits. This deal could avoid massive funding cuts to the agencies and public servants that protect our kids’ health and great outdoors.

The vote is a critical moment that will kick off the appropriations process in the Senate. We must thank Democratic leadership and our champions for the deal while also encouraging them to fund our programs at the highest levels. We must also call out vulnerable Senate Republicans for voting the wrong way.
