Today at 1 pm eastern, Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Committee, will host Lower Hudson Valley and New York State environmental advocacy groups at Bowline Point Park, in Haverstraw, to call on the Senate to adequately fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

September is a critical moment for the #DirtyBudget campaign; Congress must act on the budget before Sept 30 to avoid another government shutdown. We expect a handful of Congressional leaders will negotiate the final budget deal. Groups must continue to urge and support these leaders to call for increased funding and no poison pill legacy riders.
