Subject: Deadline to Sign-On: COB Friday (10/4) Sage-Grouse Rider Letter
Hi folks - Please see the request for sign-on below and attached to oppose the sage-grouse rider in the final appropriations bill this year. Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Mary Beth
All,
Attached for group sign-on is a letter urging appropriators to ensure that the final FY2020 Interior appropriations bill is free of a rider restricting the Fish and Wildlife Service from considering protections for sage-grouse under the
Endangered Species Act. In light of the concerning downward population trends in sage-grouse and the Trump administration’s rollbacks of the National Greater Sage-Grouse Planning Strategy, it is critical that this rider is removed for once and all.
We hope your organization will join the letter before COB, Friday (10/4). Please use this
form to sign-on.
Thanks in advance!
