COP25, the annual meeting of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, will take place in Madrid from December 2-13.

COP25 will focus on the ocean more than any year in the past, and hence has been nicknamed the "BlueCOP." It represents a unique opportunity to highlight the role of the ocean in fighting climate change and to push for ocean climate action.
