Please see attached for the sign-on letter opposing Paul Ray’s nomination as Administrator of OIRA. Senate HSGAC has scheduled his committee vote for next Tuesday morning (12/17) at 9:30 am. In order to get the letter to the committee in time for the vote, we are asking interested organizations to sign the letter by Monday, December 16th at noon. Paul Ray’s background, limited experience and qualifications, and tenure as Acting Administrator of OIRA all strongly indicate that he does not understand or appreciate the vital role regulations play in protecting the public, and will further the Trump’s Administration deregulatory attack on consumers, workers, minorities, children, women’s health, students, veterans, LGBTQ rights, the environment and more.
