Hi all -
We realize that folks are starting to head out for the holiday break, and wanted to ensure that groups had content to send out throughout the rest of the week. Below, you’ll find some Climate
Friday guidance we’re hoping groups will consider posting or scheduling for Friday, particularly for the hour of action between
12 pm and 1 pm ET on 12/20. CAC’s full guidance, including state-specific options, can be found
HERE. If there is breaking news tomorrow, we will update this document and recirculate.
Since folks may be out of the office tomorrow, we suggest scheduling content if possible.
-
Scheduling content on Twitter: If you have access to your organization’s Twitter account, you can schedule tweets directly through the platform, by visiting
ads.twitter.com, and adding new content using the “Schedule” option instead of the “Promote” option. Twitter has a great primer on the process, which can
be found HERE. Please reach out to me with any questions on this, or if you’re
having trouble accessing any of our materials.
-
Scheduling content on Facebook: If you have access to your organization’s Facebook account, you can schedule posts directly through the platform. After drafting a post as usual, select “Schedule”
from the dropdown menu next to the “Publish” option. This will give you the ability to schedule your post for your desired date and time.
HERE is a helpful guide to scheduling posts. Please reach out to me with any questions on this, or if you’re having trouble accessing any of our materials.
If your group doesn’t plan to engage on any of the topics outlined in CAC’s guidance, we hope you’ll consider adding
#ClimateFriday to any climate content you plan to send out tomorrow, so we can make the biggest impact possible online. Feel free to adjust any of this guidance to best fit the voice and tone of your organization – let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you and happy holidays!
