September 18, 2020 | 1PM ET/12 CT

Dr. Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez are prominent historical figures as it relates to civil and labor rights; however, they both had a huge impact on the environmental rights of Black and Latinx workers.  This Twitter Round Table will feature diverse experts and community leaders speaking on the intersection of environmental justice and labor rights.

INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDANCE FOR THE TWITTER ROUND TABLE
  • Provide a response to each of the questions (as well as respond to retweets and additional commentary from Black Millennials 4 Flint and other participants). When responding to each question, make sure you begin with the letter "A" and the number of the corresponding question with the hashtag #YoungGiftedGreen and @BM4Flint.
  • We will post a graphic of the question every 8 minutes.   You don't have to have a background in environmental or labor rights policy to care about healthy work environments :-)
  • Consider downloading an app like Tweet Deck or consider logging into Twitter through your computer.  This helps you keep track of the conversation, participate and see what other conversation leaders are saying in a much easier way.
  • HAVE FUN!!!!!!!
