According to the Washington Post, “The White House has tapped Ryan Maue, a meteorologist who has challenged connections between extreme weather and climate change, to serve as the new chief scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).” Following the hire of climate denier David Legates last week, this move is especially disturbing at NOAA, where scientific integrity must be kept safe from political interference.
