Below, you will find two tweet threads calling out EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, Energy Secretary Brouilette, and the new NOAA Chief Scientist appointee Ryan Maue for questioning the connection between human activity and climate change, as well as the impacts of climate change on extreme weather like hurricanes and wildfires. I have also attached a graphic showing the three headlines from the articles linked below.

Thread One: 

• WE👏NEED👏SCIENCE👏 In three of the most important climate agencies, science is being thrown to the wayside. In a matter of weeks, 3 top climate officials all downplayed the ties between climate change and extreme weather. /1
• Example One: @EPAAWheeler falsely claiming that there is a “scientific debate” about the connection between extreme weather and the #ClimateCrisis is dangerous. As a top official who should be fighting for the environment, we need #ScienceNotSilence. /2

• How is this still happening?! Three top climate officials have voiced their skepticism over climate change and its impact on the wildfires and hurricanes devastating our country. We have known for years, we need #ScienceNotSilence. /1
