Hi CDP Distribution,

Hurricane Delta rapidly intensified from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane with 140mph winds in less than 24 hours. It struck the Yucatan peninsula Wednesday on its way into the Gulf, and it is expected to hit central Louisiana as a major hurricane on Friday. The Climate Signals team prepared a social pack (also found below) that explains how climate change is fueling storms like Delta.

Our thoughts are with those in Mexico who have been affected by Hurricane Delta, as well as those in the storm's future path.
