Greetings,

On April 20th from 7pm-9pm ET, Hip Hop Caucus will host the #WeShallBreathe Virtual Earth Day Summit.

We'd love your support with amplifying the Summit. Please review the digital toolkit for sample social media copy and graphics. The toolkit is updated with graphics and videos featuring all Summit speakers, demands, and calls to action.

You can also share/RT our initial promotion directly here: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram

We Shall Breathe is part of a three-day summit with EarthDay.org, Earth Uprising, and Education International. For the We Shall Breathe Summit, we've partnered with UPROSE, Generation Green, Climate Justice Alliance, National Black Environmental Justice Network, We-ACT for Environmental Justice, NAACP, Indigenous People’s Movement, I Can’t Breathe Foundation, Moving Forward Network, Until Freedom, and Green Latinos to create a program focused on environmental justice and solutions for Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities.

We Shall Breathe is our Earth Day Celebration bringing the worlds of past movements chanting overcome, and current movements screaming breathe, together centering environmental and climate justice. The Summit will focus on five areas (P's): Pollution, the Pandemic, Police Brutality, Poverty, and Policy. Our ability to breathe makes each of these issues essential to justice and collective liberation, and each of these issues are deeply connected. We can’t breathe because of pollution, the pandemic, police brutality, poverty, and policy. But We Shall Breathe because we are coming together to demand solutions centered in justice in equity.

We appreciate any support you can offer to help promote the two-hour summit happening this coming Tuesday! Please also let us know if you have capacity to help promote the event, participate while live on 4/20, and crosspost the live event on Facebook.

Please contact JaRel Clay, cc'd here to coordinate crossposting logistics. You can contact me with any other questions and feedback. We look forward to seeing you virtually on 4/20.

Forward together,

Nakisa
