Dear [[Staff Firstname]],
On behalf of our millions of members and supporters, the XX undersigned environmental organizations urge Senator XX to consider the pro-environment positions on the following amendments being considered tonight to H.R. 3684 substitute Amendment #2137, the Infrastructure
Investment and Jobs Act.
Vote NO on Lee Amendment #2517
This amendment removes the Forest Service's ability to decommission unauthorized, user-created roads, which are created without Agency permission and can be damaging to the environment, as well as unsafe for public use. The amendment also
restricts the Forest Service's ability to remove barriers for fish and other aquatic species.
Vote YES on Crapo Amendment #2507
This amendment is an extension of the Secure Rural Schools program, which provides critical funding for schools, roads, and other municipal services to more than 700 counties across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Again, we urge Senator XX to vote NO on Lee Amendment #2517 and YES on Crapo Amendment #2507.
The League of Conservation Voters will strongly consider including votes on this amendment in the 2021
Scorecard.
Sincerely,
--
