We knew it was coming, but today BOEM formally announced that they are moving forward with the Gulf lease sales. Meanwhile, BLM announced 545 proposed parcels totaling over 600,000 acres for oil and gas lease sales in the first quarter of 2022. Despite the LA court decision, the administration could have waited for the appeals before resuming leasing. Please help get the word out about the dangers of restarting oil and gas lease sales and the need for a full climate review of the entire program.
