Coincidence? I think not!
And as I am sure you suspect, Jane Lubchenco’s fingerprints are all of this as well. She is our own ocean plant at OSTP.
FYI attaching letters sent by the Joint Ocean Commission Initiative to follow up and reinforce the ODI letter.

Subject: [NOPC] Toolkit: Biden Admin Convenes 1st Ocean Policy Committee
On Friday, October 29, CEQ Chair Brenda Mallory and OSTP Director Eric Lander convened the first Biden-Harris Administration meeting of the Ocean Policy Committee,
a Congressionally mandated, Secretary-level interagency body to coordinate ocean science and management policy across the federal government.
The meeting occurred two weeks after 118 organizations and businesses sent a
letter urging the Biden-Harris Administration to develop and implement an ambitious ocean climate action plan.
The priorities discussed were how to:
·
Maximize the environmental, economic, and social benefits the ocean provides to Americans
·
Develop an ocean-climate action plan to focus agency actions on ocean-based mitigation of climate change effects
·
Identify strategic direction for ocean science and technology
Please use the
toolkit attached to help thank Chair Mallory and Director Lander for this important step toward developing and implementing a whole-of-government approach to ocean climate action!
