Hello,

This Fall, the United States Supreme Court will hear a case that puts forth for consideration what water is being protected by the Clean Water Act as “waters of the US” – and what waterways are not – through a case called “Sackett v. EPA.” If the polluting industries and opponents of clean water who support this case get what they want, it would eliminate longstanding safeguards for wetlands that help protect our communities from flooding and streams that supply our drinking water.

The Clean Water Act was enacted 50 years ago with bipartisan support and is our country’s most fundamental tool for protecting water quality. Families, businesses, and communities need strong federal clean water protections to safeguard the wetlands, streams, and other waters that protect us against flooding, filter out unsafe pollution, and provide safe drinking water sources. Now, more than ever the Clean Water Act is at risk and we need your help to protect clean water.

Please join the Clean Water for All Coalition for a webinar on Wednesday, May 25 from 2 – 3 PM ET to learn what’s at stake for clean water protections from “Sackett v. EPA.” Hear from experts on the Court case and learn more about how your organization can engage to protect clean water!

The Coalition is also looking to amplify you and your organizations’ work locally and regionally by telling stories of how specific waters are significant to your health and wellbeing, and/or culturally, spiritually, economically and ecologically important to your and your community's livelihood. To learn more and share your story, please check out the form here.

Thanks and hope to see you at the webinar!

Best,

Jeni
