Please consider signing on to a community letter in support of S. 4217, the Transportation Fuel Market Transparency Act, introduced by Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) which takes critical steps to ensure transparency in petroleum markets and empowers the Federal Trade Commission to fight back against market manipulation. This bill will be considered during tomorrow’s markup at the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation at 10 AM. Its provisions were included via a manager’s amendment and a floor amendment to H.R. 7688, the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act, which passed the House last Thursday.

 

Apologies for the extremely quick turnaround, but the letter will close for sign-on at 5 PM ET today, Tuesday, May 24.
