Hello All,

Once again, apologies for cross-posting, but I wanted to bump up this letter. We were worried that the vote would be this week, but it now appears it won’t happen until next week at the earliest. With the extra time, we are going to keep the letter open until COB Tuesday, August 2. Currently, we have 140 organizations on, but would still like to get more. If your organization has yet to sign on, please consider doing so.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks!

Stephen

Subject: PLEASE SIGN ON ASAP! Letter Opposing Use of CRA on NEPA

Hello All,

Apologies for cross-posting. As many of you are aware, Senator Sullivan is sponsoring a resolution, cosponsored by every Republican in the Senate, under the Congressional Review Act to undo the Biden Administration’s NEPA rule undoing some of the most damaging changes to the NEPA regulations – including restoring the definitions of direct, indirect, and cumulative impacts. NEPA and consideration of cumulative impacts is absolutely essential for agencies to meaningfully review the impacts of climate change on federal infrastructure as well as the environmental justice impacts of federal actions.

This vote on applying the CRA to the final NEPA rule could come up any day now so we need organizations to sign on as soon as possible. It is critical that we do not lose this vote and that Senate Democrats hold the line on protecting community voices in federal decisions.

Your organization can sign on to the letter here: https://forms.gle/kyvf5YZvzPYt3dki8

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks!
