Apologies for the overdue follow up to our Tuesday call, but it has been quite a busy week! Thanks to everyone who joined the call on Tuesday – I know we were not able to cover everything on the agenda and we identified critical conversations
to have, which we will work in scheduling. In the meantime, below I’ve highlighted some resources that have been circulating, upcoming events, resources,
and agenda for next Tuesday’s 10:30am call.
One quick update as well: The attached Dear Colleague letter from Congressman Grijalva currently has 55 signers, which surpasses the original goal but we are not done yet because they are extending sign on until Friday, September 9th.
Thank you to all the organizations who helped push this letter!
Also, please note that some sign on letters are still open and consider having your organization sign on. The Sign on letter that Earthjustice is leading will close today and we will send to Congress on Tuesday Morning. We have almost 120
signatures on that one in particular.
Lobbying Coordination Document We are also asking that to the extend people feel comfortable, please fill in this spread sheet with intel from your meetings. We know that many different tables are holding meetings and, in
the sake of equity and unity, we want everyone to be working with the same intel. (Thank you to Ariel at FOE for putting it together). We will be updating this on a rolling basis as intel develops:

Upcoming Events: Need Help to Recruit for the September 8th Rally to Stop The Dirty Deal
A coalition led by frontline groups from Appalachia is organizing a rally from
5-7pm at the Taft Carillon near the Capitol on Thursday, September 8 to oppose the dirty deal and the Mountain Valley Pipeline. It's going to be a powerful event that's already attracting significant media interest, so we need your help to recruit as
many people as possible to attend.
Here's how you can help:
1. Send an email blast and texts to your DC-area list:
Direct communication to your supporters who are close to DC is the most effective way that you can help drive turnout. Organizers have
templates and can get you a source code so you can track all your data. Please
fill in in this form ASAP with you recruitment plans and contact: Laurel Levin <llevin@fwwatch.org>
2. Promote the event on social media: Please share and hype up the rally on social media as much as you can between now and Sep 8. Here is a
social media pack, but feel free to make your own content!
3. In DC? Turn out your office: The rally starts at 5:00pm, so if you have an office or staff in DC, please encourage them to turnout and come to the event. There are hundreds -- thousands? -- of climate staff in DC, so that
could be a big rally on its own!
4. Donate to the event: If you'd like to make a financial donation to help with recruitment for the event, that's also appreciated. Funding will go to supporting frontline travel, housing, buses, DC-postering, and social media ads. Please contact:
