Climate Power Launches New Campaign Highlighting the U.S. Clean Energy Economic Boom Since Passage of Inflation Reduction Act 

New Report: Over 100,000 New Clean Energy Jobs, $90 Billion in Private Sector Investments Announced Across 31 States

 

Washington, D.C. — On Monday, Climate Power is launching a new campaign to demonstrate our rapidly growing clean energy economy in every town, city, state and neighborhood across the country. As part of this effort, Climate Power launched a six-figure national ad campaign and new report that highlights how 94 clean energy projects announced since the passage of the law in 31 states are set to employ over 100,000 Americans.

“Thanks to President Biden’s affordable clean energy plan, businesses are investing in manufacturing like never before, and planning to create good paying jobs in every corner of the country,” said Lori Lodes, Executive Director of Climate Power. “This is only the beginning—we’re months after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act and we’re already at the precipice of a renewed manufacturing, Made in America boom that will create opportunities for millions of Americans, all while reducing toxic emissions that harm the health and wellbeing of our communities.” 


In addition to the ad campaign, Climate Power has also launched a website, TheCleanEnergyPlan.com. The website touts the clean energy benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act, maps the explosion of clean energy jobs, and explains how the clean energy investments impact people’s daily lives. 

According to an analysis of public announcements conducted by Climate Power from August 16, 2022 to January 31, 2023, since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, over 100,000 clean energy jobs have been announced in 31 states. Additionally, these 94 new clean energy projects nationwide total to $89.5 billion in new investments, spurring economic growth coast to coast. Thanks in part to the certainty created by the new affordable clean energy plan, American companies restored almost 350,000 manufacturing jobs in 2022—and the clean energy manufacturing boom in America is just getting started.
