Republicans are in a retreat during the early part of the week, so the House isn't in substantive session on Monday or Tuesday.
The House convenes at noon on Wednesday with the usual collection of suspension bills.
On Thursday and Friday the House will consider H.R. 5, a flagship Republican education bill, and a veto override vote on the previously-passed Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution against the Dept. of Labor rule on ESG-related investment.

With the President's budget out, there are quite a few Appropriations committee hearings on the proposed agency budgets, including:

On Thursday at 10 AM the Budget committee is holding a hearing on the President's FY2024 budget proposal.
On Thursday at 10:15 AM the Water subcommittee of Natural Resources is holding a legislative hearing on several wildlife and oceans-related bills.
On Thursday at 2 PM the Energy subcommittee of Science is holding a hearing on "Unleashing American Power: The Development of Next Generation Energy Infrastructure."

This will also function as a legislative hearing for three discussion drafts on the grid, hydrogen, and pipelines.

On Thursday at 2 PM the Federal Lands subcommittee of Natural Resources is holding a legislative hearing on four bills largely focused on forestry.

Senate Floor Activity

The Senate convenes on Tuesday at 3 PM, with a 5:30 PM Motion to Proceed vote on repealing the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against Iraq.
This measure is expected to take up the bulk of the week, though a vote on the Waters of the United States may also occur.
Sens. Feinstein, Fetterman and McConnell all remain away from the Senate. In addition, Sen. Durbin has announced he recently tested positive for COVID and will be quarantining.

On Wednesday at 10 AM the Environment & Public Works committee is holding a hearing on EPA's proposed FY24 budget.
On Wednesday at 10 AM the Commerce committee will both be marking up several bills and holding a hearing on "Improving Rail Safety in Response to the East Palestine Derailment."
On Wednesday at 10 AM the Budget committee is holding a hearing on "Risky Business: How Climate Change is Changing Insurance Markets."
On Thursday at 10 AM the Energy & Natural Resources committee is holding a hearing "to address the cybersecurity vulnerabilities to the United States' energy infrastructure."
