Kirti Datla of Earthjustice will moderate the conversation.

Who:

(This event is closed to the press)

For additional information and background: The Biden administration has announced actions to modernize the federal rulemaking process, including proposed revisions to Circular A-4. We expect these changes—which many of you urged the administration to implement—will enhance public participation and improve regulatory analysis. This long overdue update to Circular A-4 would bring it in line with updated scientific and economic understanding, improve consideration of the distributional consequences of regulations, and better account for difficulty quantifying regulatory effects.

OIRA, which reviews federal regulations, is seeking input from the public on these draft updates through June 6. This conversation is intended to help you better understand the scope of the proposals and weigh in on how agencies should consider the impacts of their actions on our communities and environment in rulemaking.
