Although we have no idea if/when the House will resume consideration of appropriations bills, we wanted to give folks more time to have a chance to review and sign onto letters while we have some time for a change.

• Oppose House Interior/Environment Appropriations Bill (led by LCV and TPL) – click here to sign on
• This letter is nearly identical to the letter 50 of our groups sent opposing the bill during the committee markup in July. We have already communicated with the point people who signed onto that letter for negative signoff, meaning we are assuming your group will stay on this letter unless you say otherwise. Please let me and America Fitzpatrick know if your group was signed onto the July letter and would like to be removed from this updated version.

We’re setting a tentative deadline for both letters for this Thursday, October 12^th at COB just to have one for now and in case the House selects a Speaker and moves towards appropriations this week, however, neither letter is likely to close until after we have a new Speaker. Assume these letters are still open unless you hear from us affirmatively otherwise.
