Hello – grateful if you could amplify this upcoming webinar that provides a demonstration of a tool developed for Oregon’s Coos Bay estuary but with applicability to other regions interested in leveraging blue carbon benefits of coastal habitats.  Encouraging uptake of tools like these can help advance the blue carbon recommendations of the Biden Administration’s Ocean Climate Action Plan.

Pew’s Blue Carbon Network is hosting a webinar on November 7, 2023 at 12:00 Eastern that will highlight a new tool developed for Oregon’s Coos Bay estuary that estimates current and potential blue carbon values to help inform land management and climate policy and funding decisions.  This tool can be a model for other states and regions interested in protecting and restoring coastal wetlands for blue carbon and other benefits.   The webinar will feature experts from SIlvestrum Climate Associates, Sea & Shores Solutions and the Institute for Applied Ecology.  More information about the webinar including registration can be found here.

Thank you!
