The appropriations crunch continues in the House as the government funding deadline begins to loom.

House Floor Activity

The House convenes at noon on Monday, with the usual collection of suspension bills.
Speaker Johnson's attempt to blitz through the remaining appropriations bills continues this week, though the effort is already faltering.

The Transportation, Housing & Urban Development bill intended for last week has been punted to this week in the face of east coast Republican concerns over funding cuts to Amtrak - rules has already lined up amendments for this one.
The Rules committee meets on Monday afternoon to go over the amendments for the Financial Services & General Government bill, which should also be up this week.

"Additional legislative Items are possible" - there are plenty of active issues, though given recent news the most likely may be Johnson's initial attempt at a CR.
It looks like CJS is currently being pushed back to next week with Labor-HHS, though given the hurried approach to all this things may well shift.
Last votes currently listed as being Thursday, though again things are still in flux with the new speaker.

On Tuesday at 10 AM the Ways & Means committee is holding a hearing on "Ensuring that 'Woke' Doesn't Leave Americans Broke: Protecting Seniors and Savers from ESG Activism."
On Tuesday at 10 AM the Financial Institutions subcommittee of Financial Services is holding a hearing on "The Tangled Web of Global Governance: How the Biden Administration is Ceding Authority Over American Financial Regulation."
On Wednesday at 10 AM the Small Business committee is holding a hearing on "Burdensome Regulations: Examining the Effects of Department of Energy Regulations on America's Job Creators."
On Wednesday at 10 AM the Natural Resources committee is marking up 5 bills.

Senate Floor Activity

The Senate convenes at 3 PM on Monday, with a 5:30 PM cloture vote on Monica Bertagnolli for NIH Director.
There are three further nominees lined up (all judicial).
Looking like it might be a nomination week in the Senate, with the continued fight over military promotions potentially bubbling up to floor time.
