Following the announcement from the Biden Administration to pause all pending and future authorizations of new LNG export projects until the Department of Energy (DOE) updates its approach to reviewing these projects, the fossil fuel industry and Republicans in Congress are gearing up for "energy week" the week of February 12th. 

We are expecting H.R. 1130: Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2023 to be one of the bills considered during that week, and in response, the LNG coalition has drafted an organization sign on letter in opposition to H.R. 1130, and our support for the Biden Administration's LNG announcement. This letter is an update to the letter many of your organizations signed on to last year, but we are hoping more organizations can sign on to show our opposition to the chaos in Congress, and the support for the Biden administration's common sense reforms to the LNG export review process.
