Mainly an approps shutdown drama week, but there's a bit of extra action in Senate committees.
House Floor Activity
-
The House convenes on Wednesday at noon, with
the usual collection of suspension bills.
-
At this point the only other legislation expected to come to the floor is an appropriations
bill of some sort - the planned release of text last night fizzled out. A partial shutdown is still quite possible.
-
Last votes by Friday afternoon (maybe later, given the shutdown dynamic).
House Committee Activity
-
Nothing! Or at least nothing noticed yet in the environmental space...
Senate Floor Activity
-
The Senate convenes at 3 PM on Monday, with a 5:30 cloture vote on the nomination of Jacqueline Becerra for District
Judge for Florida's Southern District.
-
There are two further nominations currently on the docket, though most of the floor time this week is expected to
be occupied by consideration of whatever CR or Omnibus ends up emerging.
