We get to close out the week with another major environmental victory! This week, the Biden-Harris administration finalized the first-ever national drinking water standards to protect Americans from toxic PFAS pollution. The standards will safeguard 100 million people from exposure to these forever chemicals, preventing serious illnesses and deaths while reinforcing the Biden-Harris administration's commitment to providing clean, safe drinking water for ALL.

And the environmental wins from this week don’t stop there.

The administration also finalized stronger clean air standards for chemical plants, reducing cancer risk in nearby communities and advancing environmental justice. Read more here.
And, the administration announced several historic milestones and actions to promote responsible clean energy development on public lands and help achieve President Biden’s goal of creating a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035. Read more here.

All this comes ahead of Tax Day when Americans will be eligible for tax credits and rebates made possible by President Biden’s clean energy plan. The credits are helping everyday Americans access clean energy, lowering energy costs, and making our air and water cleaner.

President Biden is once again demonstrating why he is the greatest environmental president ever. Meanwhile, Donald Trump promised his wealthy Big Oil backers that if he were re-elected, he’d give them huge tax breaks, which would give them free rein to pollute our air and water. It is crystal clear that if Trump is back in the White House, the environmental wins from this week will be at risk.
