Subject: [SIGN ON CLOSING THURS] Vote NO on HR 6285 Alaska's Right to Produce Act
Hi all,
Reupping the sign-on letter in opposition to HR 6285 below. Many thanks to the nearly 70 groups who have already signed on.
-
Reinstate the canceled oil leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and restore the Trump-era leasing program for the Coastal Plain
-
Rescind the just-finalized conservation regulation for the Western Arctic, which protects 13 million acres from oil and gas development, and prohibit any substantially similar regulations to the conservation rule from being implemented in the future
-
Preempt future oil and gas projects in the Arctic from judicial review
-
Seek to eliminate 125 million acres of existing protections from oil and gas leasing in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas created by President Obama and restored by President Biden
Please join us and nearly 70 other groups in opposing the bill in this
sign on letter.
As this is one of the most significant legislative attacks on the Arctic in recent memory, it is critical that we show significant opposition to the bill.
