Hi all,

Thank you to all who signed a previous opposition letter to H.R. 7176 - Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act and support for the Biden Administration's announcement to pause all pending and future authorizations of new LNG export projects until the Department of Energy (DOE) updates its approach to reviewing these projects.

Unfortunately language based on H.R. 7176 is included in the base text of the FY25 Energy & Water Appropriations Bill. The provision gives FERC exclusive authority to review LNG export projects, while also directing FERC to deem all LNG export projects in the public interest.

In advance of the Full Appropriations Committee markup on Tuesday, July 9th, please join this organizational sign on letter opposing the inclusion of the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024 in the Energy and Water appropriations bill. Poison pill riders such as this have no place in the appropriations process and must be rejected.

If your organization has previously signed on to an older version of this letter, please let me know if you would like to be removed from this letter, or, if your organization hasn't signed on yet, please sign on!

Deadline to sign on is 3 pm EST on Monday, July 8th.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Best,
