We’re just one week away from kicking off our annual GreenLatinos Advocacy Week, which will be part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations starting the week of October 7th!

Each year, 30 GreenLatinos members join our staff on Capitol Hill to ensure the priorities of our comunidades are heard. This year, we’ll continue that tradition, engaging in critical conversations with policymakers, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.

Don't miss our GreenLatinos Live! Awards Celebration on October 9th, 2024, from 7:30 pm - 12:30 am. We will honor a group of distinguished guests for their outstanding commitment to environmental liberation for our communities. Space is limited, so RSVP now to secure your spot before it's too late!

Earlier that same day, we’re hosting a congressional briefing titled "Climate Denial and Latino Communities: Unmasking Disinformation in a Crucial Election Year" at 1:30 pm in the Rayburn House Building Banquet Hall Room #2075, 45 Independence Ave, SW, Washington, DC. Lunch will be provided, and we’ll hear from Rep. Nanette Barrágan, Factchequeado, and other influential speakers. Be sure to RSVP to attend!

We will wrap up the week with the Latino Climate Justice Framework (LCJF) Relaunch on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at noon ET, hosted at Univision/Televisa, 101 Constitution Ave NW, 2nd Floor, Washington, DC. This year’s updated report highlights the unique challenges faced by the Latino community in the climate crisis. Don’t miss learning from experts who shaped this policy framework.

¡Esperamos que estén bien!

Estamos a solo una semana de iniciar nuestra Semana de Incidencia de GreenLatinos, como parte de las celebraciones del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, que comienza la semana del 7 de octubre.

Cada año, 30 miembros de GreenLatinos se unen a nuestro equipo para abogar en el Capitolio y asegurar que las prioridades de nuestras comunidades sean escuchadas. Este año no será la excepción, y tendremos conversaciones cruciales con legisladores, funcionarios electos y otras personas clave.

No te pierdas nuestra Celebración de Premios GreenLatinos Live! el 9 de octubre de 2024, de 7:30 pm a 12:30 am. Honraremos a distinguidos invitados por su compromiso con la liberación ambiental de nuestras comunidades.  Ese mismo día, tendremos un informe al Congreso titulado "La negación del cambio climático y las comunidades latinas: Desenmascarando la desinformación en un año electoral crucial", a las 1:30 pm en el Rayburn House Building Banquet Hall Sala #2075, 45 Independence Ave, SW, Washington, DC. Se servirá almuerzo y contaremos con la participación de la Rep. Nanette Barrágan, Factchequeado, y otros oradores influyentes. ¡No olvides confirmar tu asistencia!

 Cerraremos la semana con el Relanzamiento del Marco de Justicia Climática Latina (MJCL) el jueves 10 de octubre de 2024, a las 12:00 pm ET, en las oficinas de Univision/Televisa, 101 Constitution Ave NW, 2º piso, Washington, DC. Este año, hemos actualizado nuestro informe, destacando los desafíos únicos que enfrenta la comunidad latina ante la crisis climática. No te pierdas la oportunidad de aprender de los expertos que contribuyeron a este marco de políticas.
