On February 10, 2016 a group of Black Millennials from across the country came together to determine how they could best support their brothers and sisters in Flint, Michigan due to the Flint Water Crisis. On that day, a movement was born. For 8 years, we have learned that environmental racism does not just exist in Flint, but in nearly every single majority Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and economically disadvantaged city in America. Our work is the same…but our new assignment is bigger! On today, February 10, 2024 we are proud to announce our rebirth.
We have transitioned to Young, Gifted & Green where we will work nationally and statewide in Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, and Washington, DC.
