Subject: [pop] Sign on: Oppose Brooke Rollins for Secretary of Agriculture
Hey folks,
Please consider signing onto the attached letter urging the Senate Agriculture Committee to oppose the nomination of Brooke Rollins for Secretary of Agriculture. As the former Director of Domestic Policy Council at the White House under
the first Trump administration, Ms. Rollins worked to dismantle critical safeguards for wildlife and wildlife habitat, including weakening protections for the nation’s wetlands and gutting protections for our most endangered animals and plants.
In her most recent position at the America Policy First Institute (a right-wing think tank that rivals Project 2025 in its extremeness), as well as her time as president and CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Rollins has long opposed
protections for endangered species. Alarmingly, under Rollins’ leadership, TPPF filed a lawsuit seeking to remove protections for
more than 1,100 federally listed species only found within a single state. That’s 70% of all species listed under the Endangered Species Act.
The initial deadline to sign on is COB Monday, February 3.
