Please join us in urging Senator Schumer and Leader Jeffries to hold firm against any attempts to give the fossil fuel industry immunity for its climate deception and pollution.

Communities and states across the country are suing to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable for its role in the climate crisis. The fossil fuel industry has looked to Congress to block such efforts before -- an ask they will undoubtedly revive under an Administration that has pledged to stop "frivolous" climate litigation. Such a waiver of liability poses a serious and significant threat to both climate accountability litigation and superfund legislation.
