There are 2 legislative days between now and the February 8 funding deadline.

>> If you say one thing today: If the notion of putting a coal lobbyist in charge of protecting our air and water from harmful pollutants wasn’t scary enough already, Andrew Wheeler’s highly problematic fundraising activities should put the brakes on his nomination and the Senate should investigate his actions immediately.

>> If you only do one thing today: Call for delay of vote and new hearings on Wheeler

White House FY19 and Infrastructure Release
  • Nuts & Bolts:
    • These will both come out on the the same day -- next Monday Feb 12
    • Both with defund EPA and attack bedrock environmental laws
    • Important to tie together messaging as attack on children's health and environment
  • Goals:
    1. Make Trump’s new budget and the infrastructure package (including attacks on bedrock environmental laws) as toxic as possible by framing it as an attack on children’s health and the environment.

    2. Take advantage of the moment to get key decision-makers on Capitol Hill to reject anti-environmental cuts and Trump’s #infrastructurescam

    3. Don’t let Pruitt play “good cop” by opposing cuts. Make him own it. [Budget[]
