Government Funding 
FY18 
  • Intel:
    • Interior-Environment FY18 will get more money than last year 
    • Udall reporting that over 50 riders are at play in the bill -- will meet with Murkowski end of this week/early next week 
  • Timeline:
    • Feb 26-March 9: Subcommittees write bills and riders are negotiated
    • March 12-23: Bills are released, potential floor action

  • Purpose | To call for good 302b allocations and to continue promoting a final budget resolution free from poison pill riders and budget cuts to critical environmental programs. 
  • Goal | 5 grasstop calls/week collectively from the groups

We will have a standing agenda item on the Tuesday calls in the coming weeks for groups to report out. We will identify additional targets for outreach once we approach the post-budget caps phase of the fight or earlier if we want to be more prudent.
