Friends-

As you know March 5th is just around the corner! This is a critical moment to stand in solidarity with the Dreamer community. Is your organization able to make a commitment to any of the following?
  1. Speaking out on social media in lead up to the March 5th and the day of the event
The Dreamer community has created a short toolkit with messaging and graphics for all of us to promote March 5th and invite people to the event. Please take a look and share with your digital teams!

  2. Turn out people members of your organization/network to the March/Rally (If so, how many? Estimate is ok)

  3. Are members of your organization/network able to Volunteer Sign up here

  4. Sharing the Civil Disobedience (CD) registration form with those who are interested in participating in the civil disobedience action.
**Please note that the rally/march and CD are separate. So you can participate in the rally/March even if you don't do the CD.
Shoot me a note on how you can engage.

Thanks for all you do!

Hello movement leaders and allies,

We have all been mourning the lives lost in the Parkland shooting, many of whom are youth. We stand with those impacted and are so inspired by their courage to stand up for what is right. We believe that we have a fundamental responsibility to protect all of America’s young people.

As you all know, March 5 is fast approaching. It is the day that Trump has decided all immigrant youth would start losing their DACA protections. On this day, we must ramp up the pressure for Congress to deliver a solution which protects immigrant youth without hurting our families. They must be held accountable for the games they are playing and the lives they are threatening.

Trump’s ultimatum to give immigrant youth safety only if the nation buys his mass deportation plan failed in the Senate last week by a wide margin but Trump mobilized to kill THREE bipartisan proposals in a row. He has played everyone for fools but on March 5, the games are over. It is the Trump imposed deadline on Congress to solve the Trump imposed crisis faced by immigrant youth. After that date, over 1,000 immigrant youth will begin losing their deportation protections every week until they are all vulnerable.

Now, the white supremacists in the White House are going to try to push his plan in the House of Representatives and we must stop them. Immigrant youth, families and allies have worked hard for a breakthrough for months and we can’t let Congress leave immigrant youth vulnerable to Trump’s ICE agents, turn the page and sit back while immigrants who are now protected become at risk for deportation.

March 5 is the day that we say Enough is Enough. We will tell Trump and Congress that immigrant youth are not political pawns, they are humans and we are coming together to defend them and their families from this Administration’s deportation force.

United We Dream, the Center for Popular Democracy,  The Women’s March, MPower Change, FIRM/Center for Community Change, National Domestic Workers Alliance, Church World Service, Undocublack, and many more are mobilizing on March 5 to demand that Congress comes up with a solution to protect immigrant youth without hurting our families!

We need YOU. We ask for all of you to join us in action on March 5 by mobilizing to Washington D.C., taking action in cities across the country and elevating the events online to call on your networks to join.

Please share widely with your online networks:

MARCH 5: Enough Political Games: Protect Immigrant Youth Now!
