>> If you say one thing today - CAC MOW: EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt still won’t take responsibility for his actions, despite the fact that he’s facing more than half a dozen federal investigations into his unethical conduct and corrupt dealings. More than 80 members of Congress – including multiple Republicans  have called for him to resign or be fired. Pruitt is ethically compromised and unfit to lead the EPA. It’s time for him to get the boot.

  • Scott Pruitt has spent over $150,000 on lavish travel, a soundproof phone booth, and raises for his friends, all while he slashes lifesaving health and climate protections.
  • While Pruitt’s dirty defenders claim he’s been “effective” at executing President Trump’s agenda, in the eyes of the federal courts, “Failing” Scott Pruitt has proven totally ineffective, losing at least eight major cases since becoming the head of the EPA.
  • He's bad at math, too: he claims to have saved Americans $1 billion, a number made up by a GOP spin firm with no citations.
  • In reality, Pruitt has cost Americans trillions of dollars in lost health benefits and consumer savings. The fuel efficiency standard that Pruitt moved to roll back just last week would save consumers $1.7 trillion over the life of the program and $8,000 per family over the life of a new vehicle.
  • While he’s gouging the American people, Pruitt’s pattern of corporate cronyism continues. He hired his friend Albert Kelly from Oklahoma, who had been banned from the banking industry, to manage the EPA’s superfund program, raising questions about the nature of their personal and professional relationship.
  • Kelly was fined $125,000 and banned for life by the FDIC, but within weeks, he was working at the EPA.
  • Taxpayer dollars are not Pruitt's personal slush fund; it's money that American families have earned and entrust their officials to use responsibly.
  • And Scott Pruitt has failed as a leader. During a contentious interview with Fox News’ Ed Henry on April 4, Pruitt was asked ten times if he took any personal responsibility for the scandals that plague his tenure. He declined ten times - instead blaming his staff and security detail and claiming no knowledge of some of the decisions made on his watch.
  • Scott Pruitt has failed the American people, failed to uphold the EPA’s mission to protect public health and the environment, and failed to meet the standard of conduct required by a public official. He’s unfit for office and Trump should fire him immediately.
