Colleagues – Please sign onto the letter below and attached at the link below by noon EDT Monday 3/23. The updated House FAA bill that will go to the floor next week includes
two provisions that undermine the ESA – one that we have fought and defeated several time already in this Congress that would exempt FEMA’s implementation of the National Flood Insurance Program from its responsibilities under the ESA and another that would
set a bad precedent by allowing the Secretary of Transportation to interfere with designation of critical habitat. We hope your organization will sign as we need a good showing of opposition to these provisions.
