Ryan Zinke was at a clean energy forum today, but let’s be clear, when it comes to clean energy, Ryan Zinke is an empty hat. He’s the most scandal-plagued Interior secretary in recent history, partly due to his close ties to the oil and gas industry. He’s under investigation for working a sweetheart land deal with Halliburton’s chairman, a company Zinke regulates. And just last week at an oil and gas symposium in Louisiana, Zinke told the crowd, “the government should work for you, the oil & gas industry.” That comes after two years’ worth of Trump/Zinke policies that put polluters over people’s health, our public lands and waters.
