Dear Partners,
Thank you to those who were able to attend last Thursday’s briefing on DREAM/TPS and DHS Appropriations. We are really excited about building and connecting with you.
With the composition of next year’s Congress at stake tomorrow and a debate to follow immediately on funds for Trump’s Deportation Force, we believe that together we can reject expanded funding for ICE and CBP! We also know that we must continue to love and protect each other and fight for clean, permanent protections for Dream-eligible and TPS communities next year. We hope that you will join us in making these demands clear as we all have a duty to do no harm to our immigrant communities.
We hope to convene partners again before the end of 2018 to discuss and strategize on state of play in DHS appropriations and next year’s work on Dream/TPS legislation. Stay tuned!
