Friends & Allies,

Hispanic Access Foundation & GreenLatinos have partnered together and drafted a Latinx organization community sign-on letter in support of maintaining EPA’s critical oil and gas pollution standards that regulate harmful methane pollution. The administration is currently trying to weaken rules that reduce air pollution and protect the public health of Latinx communities.

The reduction of harmful air pollution and actions to combat climate change under the 2016 New Source Performance Standards would directly improve the health and well-being of Latino communities across the country who are among the first and worst impacted by climate change and unhealthy air quality, both of which are exacerbated by pollution from the oil and gas industry.

Join us in stopping the gutting of EPA's methane rules that protect the health of our communities with 1.81 Million Latinos living within half of a mile of existing oil and gas facilities. We can’t afford to sit back.

We invite all national, state, and local Latinx organizations to sign onto the letter.

The letter will close 5:00PM EST, November 30, 2018  so please sign-on today and share it with your network.
