I wanted to share some potential talking points to get the word out about the landfills hearing next
Tuesday Nov 27th in Washington DC.
The deadline to register to speak at the hearing is TODAY Nov 21st, so I recognize that this is a really last minute ask of folks, but would love to turn out as many people as possible.
The 2016 Landfill Rules EPA is seeking to delay provide substantial reductions of methane emissions from the third largest source of methane in the US, and also provide reductions in harmful pollutants like HAPs and VOCs.
Let me know if you have any questions about the attached TPs, I’ve also provided EPA’s Fact Sheet that went out with the 2016 rules.

EPA will hold a public hearing on the “Adopting Subpart Ba Requirements in Emission Guidelines for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills” rule proposal.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (local time) in:

Each commenter will have five minutes to provide oral testimony. Written statements and supporting information submitted during the comment period will be considered with the same weight
as oral comments and supporting information presented at the public hearing. The public comment period on
this proposal is open until January 3, 2019.
