Attached for group sign on is a letter opposing Rep. Golden's amendment to the CJS appropriations bill (#103 to Division A of H.R. 3055), which would severely hinder the recovery of the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale, blocking the agency-led science-based process to save these animals, and setting a dangerous precedent for Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) implementation more broadly. We are urging leadership not to allow a vote on this amendment.
