Attached for group sign-on is a support letter on the Arctic Cultural and Coastal Plain Protection Act (H.R. 1146), which is set to receive a floor vote<https://twitter.com/LeaderHoyer/status/1151519363297619969> the week of September 9th.

This legislation would stop the Trump administration's dangerous scheme to sell oil and gas leases in the Arctic Refuge, by repealing the 2017 Republican tax bill provision mandating development in the Refuge's biological heart: the coastal plain. Given the tax bill's drilling mandate, H.R. 1146 represents the only permanent way to protect the Arctic Refuge-its native people, fragile climate, irreplaceable public lands, and imperiled wildlife-from irreversible harm.
