I wanted to share an inspiring video that our IL state partner helped put together about the powerful, and diverse coalition and community-led process behind the IL Clean Jobs Coalition and the Clean Energy Jobs Act. Sample social is below in case you’re able to amplify!

Illinois Clean Energy Jobs Act: An Equitable Community Vision
LCV and Illinois Environmental Council<https://ilenviro.org/> (IEC), our state affiliate, shared a brand new video<https://youtu.be/3MhTqqcW8Wk>, highlighting the progress that is possible when climate solutions are built by and for communities. As part of the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition<https://ilcleanjobs.org/> -- a robust coalition of organizations connected to hundreds of communities across the state -- IEC helped orchestrate the Listen, Lead, Share program, which gathered input from every Senate District in the state. These listening sessions informed the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA), a bold policy vision that puts racial and economic justice at the center of the state’s transformation to 100% clean energy. The Illinois legislature is expected to take up CEJA in a November or December veto session, which is our opportunity to make this community-led vision a reality.
